Mrs. Jane Shaw was born in the UK. She left in 1980 to travel the world as a tour guide and moved there in 1987. Married to Alex, they have a 15-year-old daughter named Jessica who attended Montessori World School for nine years before attending Osceola School for the Performing Arts with Classical Ballet as her major. Mrs. Shaw has taught kindergarten, worked in neo-natal units, worked in specialized care for abused children in the UK, and has been at MWS for ten years. She has an Associate Degree in Child Development, a Nursing Degree and a Bachelor's Degree in Education and certification from the Orlando Montessori Teacher Education Institute (2000). Mrs. Shaw received training at the Hospital/Public School in the UK and interned at MWS in 1999. Her philosophy is “I believe every child has the potential to succeed when nurtured and treated as an individual,” and her goal is to assist in bringing a teacher training program to MWS. In her free time, she enjoys reading, movies, collecting anything Egyptian and live music events.
