Mrs. Marisela Velazquez was born in Puerto Rico and lived there until the age of seven then relocated with her family to the state of New Jersey. In 2004, she relocated once again to Winter Springs, Florida. She has been married for over 18 years and has two daughters, Betzy age 15 and Natalie age 12. She commenced her teaching career in Community Montessori Academy in Verona, New Jersey. While working for Community Montessori Academy she received her training through CMTE in New York. She also has an Associate's Degree in Education. Upon arriving in the state of Florida, she worked for Seminole Public Schools and moved on to United Cerebral Palsy before working for Montessori World School. A strong believer in the Montessori philosophy, she has raised both her children with this belief. Her desire is to continue growing within the education field. She enjoys horseback riding, reading, watching movies, and spending time with her family, friends, and pets.
