Mrs. Rosaura Matos was born and raised in Rio Piedras Puerto Rico. She moved to New York City in 1983 and relocated to Orlando in 1997. Mrs. Matos has an AA degree in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Mercy College. Her training includes a Child Development Associate Degree(CDA), ESL, Supervision of Children, Family Child Care, In Our Hands…Future Tomorrows and Developmentally Appropriate Practices for Young Children. She worked for 6 years in the New York City Public Schools in Special Education.
Mrs. Matos joined Montessori World School in 1999, first as an Assistant Teacher in a Primary classroom for 4 years followed by the position as the Spanish Teacher for the Primary and Elementary Students. She practices Montessori principals and concepts to her Spanish instruction and finds great accomplishments with her students’ achievements. Mrs. Matos also offers a Spanish Enrichment Class.
Mrs. Matos enjoys gardening and listening to Christian, Classical and Country music.
